This week I've been exptremely focused on reading the book I chose, we've read and analyzed the book of our choice in groups all week and that was really helpful to be able to go over the what was happening in the book with other people. I chose the Kite Runner, it's about a boy Amir who makes a bad choice in the beginning of the book and it haunts him the rest of his life, I feel like this book is very sad, everytime I read it it makes me feel sorry and bad for what is happening to Amir. Literally everything that could possibly go wrong in his life has and I don't understand how he can handle all that's happened. I don't think I'd be able to. His father dies, his home is destroyed, he leaves his country, he can't have babies, his fathers best friend dies and worst of all he has this huge secret he hasn't ever told anyone and it's tearing him apart. This book even though it may be sad has tought me a lot of what it would be like to be in the situation he was in, i don't know a lot about the history of his race and I was able to learn more what happened not that long ago and it was very interesting. Amir is very strong, he is able to deal with everything that happens in his life and not have a break down which is impressive. The word I chose for this week is reading because we have done that all week.
