A relationship in my memoir that compares to a relationship in Of Mice and Men would be the relationship between John and Abraham, and then George and Lennie. Abraham and John walked hundreds of miles together to get to a safe haven, they were together 24/7 and they kept each other alive. If John hadn't had Abraham he probably would've died in the first couple days, and same goes for Abraham. They relate to George and Lennie because they also walked everywhere together, they had been friends since they were kids and they always stuck by each other. Both of these relationships were Mutualism, both people benefited from their relationships equally. For John and Abraham, without their relationship they would've died. With George and Lennie, they were able to have a friendship and always be there for each other when they needed it. Both of the relationships were also dynamic. John and Abraham needed each other for a long time, but when they got to a safe haven they didn't need each other as much and grew a part a little. They were still friends but they didn't rely on each other to survive. George and Lennie also grew apart, after Lennie killed Curleys wife, George knew that he had to give up Lennie, he couldn't be friends with him anymore. George killed Lennie himself because he still cared for him, he didn't want him to be scared when he died.
